Ukraine's amended film-support law, No. 4743-IX, in force since June 7, pays the producer of a Ukrainian film 30% of its domestic cinema grosses, counted through the country's electronic ticketing system, once the film takes at least 2,000 times the subsistence minimum for a working-age adult in its first 90 days, and the money has to go into the producer's next Ukrainian film. The law also sets a floor for public film funding at 0.2% of the previous year's general-fund state spending, and restates the rebate for foreign productions at 25% of qualifying spend, plus 5% for passing the cultural criteria and an extra share of non-resident cast and crew pay. Parliament adopted it on December 18, 2025, it was published on June 6, 2026, and the cabinet has six months to adopt the implementing rules. It also creates national representatives to Eurimages, the Council of Europe's co-production fund.
