SCP Standard Capital Partners, the Munich holding company that owns Pantaleon Films and pioneering AI studio Storybook Studios, has announced the sale of their production houses and the purchase of two defense technology companies for six-figure sums paid partly in new shares: VANEA Technologies, which builds for what the company calls the "era of autonomous warfare," and counter-drone specialist Nocturne Technologies of Osnabrück. Shareholders voted on 5 October to rename the company VANEA AG and to rewrite its corporate purpose around artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and security technology. Pantaleon produced the 2021 Netflix heist film "Army of Thieves", which German A-list actor and company co-founder Matthias Schweighöfer directed, starred in and produced with Dan Maag, alongside Zack and Deborah Snyder's The Stone Quarry, as well as last year’s “The Tank” for Prime Video, directed by Dennis Gansel and considered for Germany’s Oscar application. The group took €469,000 (roughly $550,000) in revenue in the first half of 2026, mostly from film rights, against an operating loss of €2.4 million (~$2.8 million).
