ICO, Spain's official credit institute, launches ICO Crecimiento Audiovisual, a loan programme with an initial endowment of more than €300 million (roughly $350 million) for small and mid-sized companies in film and audiovisual production, animation, video games and digital content, distribution and sales, and technical services, as well as music and the performing arts. Loans run from €50,000 to €2.5 million (~$58,000 to ~$2.9 million) per operation and up to €3 million (~$3.5 million) per client or group, over one to five years with up to five years' grace, at six-month Euribor plus a credit-risk margin, with repayment fitted to production and sales cycles. The catch: borrowers need at least four years of trading, with exceptions for some AIEs, the economic interest groupings Spanish producers set up to carry a specific project, and every loan needs a guarantee from a mutual guarantee society that has an agreement with ICO, with the sector's specialist CREA SGR as partner. The programme runs under the government's España Crece plan, carries the Spain Audiovisual Hub beyond 2026 and takes applications until December 31, 2027.
