RTL Deutschland and Sky Sport, with the Bundesliga and toymaker Playmobil, will show Saturday's Bayern Munich against Borussia Dortmund match on 31 October as a live Playmobil version alongside the regular broadcast, in a pilot called "Sky Sport Spezial Next Level" on Sky Sport Bundesliga 3, WOW and RTL+, with a pre-match show on children's channel Toggo. Tracab's AI systems take player tracking points from the video in real time, Trickshot moves them into a Playmobil world built in Unreal Engine, and Sportec Solutions supplies the official live match data; the Bundesliga says "every pass, every sprint and every goal from the real world" is recreated live. "RTL Deutschland sees AI as a great opportunity for the future of video," says Maximilian Orgonyi, the broadcaster's chief transformation and AI officer.
