Katja von Garnier has finished shooting "Gebt mir etwas Zeit" ("Give Me Some Time"), Ruth Toma's adaptation of German entertainer Hape Kerkeling's bestseller, after a September and October shoot in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Netherlands, Berlin and Brandenburg. The film tells three stories across three centuries: Ludwig Simon plays the young Kerkeling in 1987, on the eve of his breakthrough and still hiding his homosexuality, and his ancestor Barend in 1620, with Lea Drinda, Gijs Blom, Sam Riley and Devid Striesow in the cast and Kerkeling himself as narrator. UFA Fiction, Feine Filme and Warner Bros. Film Productions Germany produce with MadeFor Film, five German funders back it, among them Film- und Medienstiftung NRW and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, and Warner Bros. Pictures Germany opens it in cinemas on 21 October 2027.
