Ireland and Northern Ireland Pool $1.5 Million for Virtual Production, XR and Games Skills

Screen Ireland and Northern Ireland Screen are opening Shared Island - Shared Horizons, a €1.25 million (roughly $1.5 million) fund running from 2026 to 2030 for skills development and knowledge exchange in virtual production, XR, games, design and digital transformation across the island. Screen bodies, education institutions, public broadcasters, guilds, festivals, charities and training providers with a track record in screen skills can apply, each application with at least one partner in each jurisdiction, and Screen Ireland says details follow in the coming weeks.
