Oslo District Court has barred Meta from bringing in new terms for business accounts until a full court ruling on them, granting an injunction on 28 October to ten Norwegian media companies, including public broadcaster NRK, commercial broadcaster TV 2, Schibsted, Amedia and news agency NTB, through their trade body Mediebedriftenes Landsforening. The terms would let Meta scrape articles, images and video, paywalled content included, from websites linked to business accounts, with no opt-out. A day earlier the European Broadcasting Union asked Meta to limit that access to content account holders own and to offer an opt-out without penalties, saying the European Commission and Britain's Competition and Markets Authority are examining the terms.
