TBellScout, a startup owned by Elastic founder Steven Schuurman, has bought visual dubbing tool TrueSync and AI post-production tool DeepEditor from Flawless Holdings Limited, the UK company that entered administration on 13 October, FilmoFilia reports, citing Deadline; no price was disclosed. Lender Sprk Capital appointed insolvency specialist BTG, which ran the sale, while the US business, Flawless AI Inc., stays with co-founders Scott Mann and Nick Lynes. The tools sync actors' mouths to new lines, and were used to swap the swearing out of the 2022 thriller "Fall" for a PG-13 rating and to dub the Swedish science-fiction film "Watch the Skies" into English.
