Viaplay Group has closed the sale of its Dutch streaming and broadcasting operations to Videoland, the streamer owned by DPG Media, for €142 million (roughly $166 million) on a cash- and debt-free basis, a deal first announced on 1 July. The Dutch business had 2025 revenue of €149 million (~$174 million); Viaplay expects about €100 million (~$117 million) in cash after costs, which goes to cutting its debt, and chief executive Jørgen Madsen Lindemann says the group is now fully focused on its core Nordic markets.
