RTVE starts shooting in Madrid on "Casper", a police thriller in three 70-minute episodes about Ángel Suárez Flores, known as "Casper", whom the broadcaster calls the "Godfather" of Spain's underworld, and the inspector who would not stop chasing him. Roberto Álamo plays Casper and Rodolfo Sancho plays Inspector Pablo Losada, with Adriana Torrebejano, Alain Hernández and Cristina Alcázar; Joaquín Llamas created and directs it from scripts by Manuel Ríos, Mónica Martín-Grande and Ángela Armero, and RTVE produces with Atlantia Media. The story runs from a €18 million (roughly $21 million) haul at Banco Popular in Yecla and 19 paintings taken from businesswoman Esther Koplowitz's home to his arrest after 30 years of crime, and the shoot moves through Madrid, Murcia, Yecla, Cartagena and the Canary Islands to recreate Spain in the late 1990s and the 2000s; RTVE sets no air date.
