Wiedemann & Berg Film has named the cast of "Oktoberfest" (working title), the Netflix romantic comedy Simon Verhoeven wrote and directs, whose shoot began on 15 September on the festival grounds and in real beer tents, with a studio build at Studio Penzing outside Munich. Jeanne Goursaud plays Miri, a single mother waiting tables at the festival, and Jannis Niewöhner plays Tom, a businessman, with Peter Gallagher, Fisher Stevens, Bart Edwards, Nadia Parkes, Senta Berger and Michaela May in the ensemble. Quirin Berg, Max Wiedemann and Kirstin Winkler produce.
